CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRIES

Scouts

Global organization dedicated solely to boys and girls where in an accepting and nurturing environment, boys and girls build character and skills for success in the real world.

• Girl Scouts – Ages 5 – 17

•Cub Scouts – Kindergarten – 5th grade

• Boy Scouts – 6th – 12th grade

Cradle Roll: 12 months - Kinder

Serves children, ages 1 – kindergarten, through worship services and biblical based programming.

High School & College (HSC)

Provides spiritual and emotional support to children recently enrolled in college.

Kids for Christ (KFC): 1st - 4th Grades

Serves children in grades 1st – 4th through worship services and biblical based programming.

Music (Age 3 - High School)

Provides ministry through song in worship services and other events.

The Children’s Music Ministry consists of:

• Cherubs – Ages 3 years – Kindergarten

• Children – 1st – 5th grades

• Youth – 6th – 12th grades

Praise Dancers

Prepares the congregation for worship by ministering in sign, graceful movement and spiritual dance.

• Children – 1st – 5th grade • Youth – 6th – 12th grade

Student Ministries

Provides biblical and interactive teaching activities that strengthen biblical principles and faithfulness to youth in grades 5 – 12.

SPECTRUM (Autism Support for Children Ages 3 - 10)

(Spiritual People Enlightening Children through Religion in a Unique Ministry)

Addresses the needs of families that have children with autism ages 3 through 10.

Steppers for Christ: (8th – 12th grade)

Ministers through a combination of footsteps, claps and spoken word.

Youth Ushers (6th – 12th grade)

Facilitates the orderly flow of worship services and other events.

EDUCATION, SERVICE AND FELLOWSHIP

Book Club

Members gather to discuss, explore, critique and exchange Christian views on a particular book assigned for review.

Cycling

Promotes physical fitness through cycling in an environment of Christian fellowship.

Health & Wellness

Enhances the physical and mental well-being of our members and of the community through education, communication and prevention initiatives.

Outreach

Addresses the needs of TFBC family members and Fort Bend community; provides services through partnership and volunteerism with community entities.

PINK

(Peers Integrating New Knowledge)

Advocates for and offers peer support to new and surviving breast cancer members through the emotional and complex journey from diagnosis to survivorship.

Prison

Ministers to those who are incarcerated.

Seasoned Women: Ages 50+

Provides opportunities for women to participate in spiritual and social activities.

SPICE: Ages 25-54

Provides opportunities for women to participate in spiritual and social activities.

Sunday School

Sunday morning Bible study for middle school age children through adults.

Vacation Bible School

Provides opportunity for each attendee to grow in faith in Christ and in service to Him and others through the presentation of the Word of God in an interactive and engaging way.

Young Adults (Ages 18-39)

Provides opportunities for young men and women to fellowship and study together as they make an impact in the community.

WORSHIP

Audio Visual

Provides audio visual services during worship services and other events; records and prepares CDs and DVDS of services and events.

Adult Ushers

Facilitates the orderly flow of worship services and other events.

Baby Dedication: (Ages 2 months - 18 months)

Coordinates baby dedication ceremonies for children whose parents or godparents are TFBC members.

Baptism

Coordinates baptism ceremony for new converts.

Music: (Ages 18 and above)

Provides ministry through song utilizing all genres and facets of church music in worship services and other events.

The Adult Music Ministry consists of:

• Church Choir

• Male Chorus

• Women’s Chorus

• Praise Team – (Audition Required)

• Chorale – (Audition Required)

• Young Adult Choir – (Ages 18-35)

Communion Stewards

Prepares and provides support for the monthly communion ceremony. Ministry members are appointed by TFBC Executive Office.

Deaf

Provides assistance to members who are deaf and hard of hearing so they can worship, fellowship and grow in God’s grace, through the service of a certified sign language interpreter.

Greeters

Welcomes members and visitors as they enter the church for services.

Hospitality

Provides hospitality and food service to TFBC members, family and guests; supports church wide ministry events and gives assistance to ministries planning special events.

New Member Orientation

Welcomes and provides information to new members and facilitates the completion of the new member orientation process (H.O.M.E. Training); serves as a resource regarding available ministries at TFBC.

Parking Ambassadors

Extends hospitality into the church parking lot by answering questions, helps secure the parking lot and directs traffic before and after church services and during special occasions.
