Support Group

We offer Healing Hearts: Grief Counseling Support on the 4th Tuesday of every month. This purpose of this class is to help individuals overcome and challenges of loss of a loved one, divorce/separation or financial difficulties.

Counseling

The Fort Bench Church Counseling Ministry Team consists of experienced, mature Ministers. We are not licensed professional counselors, psychologists, physicians, social workers, accountants, financial planners, or attorneys; we do not provide therapy, psychiatric, medical or mental health treatment nor do we give legal or financial advice. We will meet with you about your situation and ask questions to fully understand what is going on in your life right now. Together, with faith, prayer, and wisdom from God’s Word, we will help you identify potential solutions and access practical resources that empower you with strength and skills to take the next appropriate steps to move forward through the changes and uncertainty you are facing.

Premarital Counseling

If you are engaged or thinking about getting married, please consider attending the Solid Foundations: Premarital Counseling group session on the 3rd Thursday of every month. The purpose of this class is to obtain an understanding of God’s design for marriage. This class is mandatory of any who is considering being married by church personnel or considering having the wedding at The Fort Bend Church.

Funerals

Even for Christians, the death of a loved one is a difficult experience. We grieve the loss of one who has been close, but we do not sorrow as those who have no hope (1 Thessalonians 4: 13). It is our desire and privilege to minister to the families of our congregation in their time of need. It is through the Word of God that we have hope at the time of the death of a loved one (Romans 15: 4).
The Fort Bend Church provides support for bereaved families of our church family at their request. Assistance may include:

• Prayer
• Guidance through the grief process
• Recommendations for the final steps in burying your loved one
• Funeral service format (if the funeral is held at TFBC)
• Ministerial support at the funeral

Additional Funeral Policies and Practices can be found here.
